Organisation Development

Organisation Development is an organisational improvement process that uses knowledge, principles, and practices from the behavioural sciences to increase individual and organisational effectiveness.

At the Galway Leadership Centre, we work in a psychodynamic and systemically informed way with individuals, groups, leaders, and organisations to enhance overall organisational effectiveness. This work involves creating with members of the organisation a safe environment for reflection on and dialogue about their experience in the system in which they work, and developing ways of analysing and understanding their common experience. Within this safe environment and reflective space, individuals can improve their effectiveness in achieving their goals, and identify strategies for creating organisation development and change.

All of the individual and group work we do at Galway Leadership Centre, including Psychotherapy, Supervision, Senior Management Coaching, Action Learning, Staff Support and Team Building, all contribute to bringing about individual change and changes within a group, which all further impacts on the overall functioning of an organisation.

In addition, at Galway Leadership Centre, we work with Organisations to help them develop their vision, mission, and strategy, to help them become clearer on how they want to move forward, what might be stopping them for moving forward, and to help them overcome obstacles, and work better together in moving forward.
